One of the former mentors to Raheem Sterling has said that it is a must for the Liverpool winger to be included in the 23 man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil this coming summer. Sterling has a very good performance at his current club, Liverpool.
Sterling who is said to be the youth product of QPR this Sunday scored the first goal for Liverpool when they faced Manchester City in the Premier league match. Liverpool recorded a 3-2 victory boosting their performance in the league.
Wembley is the place that Sterling grew up and was discovered by QPR in his early ages as a youth when he attended the Kickz project, a community program that is run by QPR’s charitable arm.
Andy Evans who is the CEO of the Trust said that after showcasing his playing ability and reliability, Roy Hodgson who is the coach of England has no choice but to pick this young star.
Evans further said that as long as the international star does not suffered an injury and keep up the current playing spirit, then he will be in Brazil to play for his national team.
Evans thanks Steve Gallen who is among the coaches that sharpened Sterling’s performance when still at QPR’s charitable community project.
He also believes that he will be of benefit not only for one of the world’s largest club, Liverpool but also for England. Sterling who was born in Jamaica is said to have given an instant impression to some of the QPR coaches showcasing the natural talent inside him.
Raheem Sterling who has scored a total of 11 goals in 27 appearances is said to be one of the major players that are leading Liverpool to this season’s victory.
Evans believes that Sterling future career is even brighter than you can imagine just if he continues with the spirit he has been having since the time he was discovered.
