After unveiling the 23 man squad plus seven standby players, the England coach Roy Hodgson has issued a caution to the selected players not be affected by the transfer processes especially during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
This is the second time Hodgson is giving a warning to the players he manages. Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw who are among the 23 man England squad have been rumored planning to exit Southampton during this summer transfer window.
A total of 27 million Euros has been set aside by the Red Devils, Manchester United targeting Shaw who plays in the left back position and on the other hand Lallana is said to have a 20 million euros deal from Liverpool.
This two St Mary’s players have had a very good season in terms of their performance. The England player said that a ban has been issued to the agents of various players from having access to the training camp of England together with the preparation of the upcoming two friendly matches.
England are scheduled to play their friendlies in Portugal and Miami before the start of 2014 FIFA World Cup. Hodgson further said that all he wants know is his players be focused on the tournament ahead of them. Hodgson says he has already informed his players about all this issue and are happy with it.
He said that they should be able to differentiate between England national team and their respective clubs.
The England boss says the players should know that they are now sign up for England and believes all their energies should be directed toward the winning of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
He says that the club matters should be solved later outside the England’s time. He has promised to remain very firm on the decisions that he has made.
