Ghana which is also part of the teams that are in the campaign of the 2014 FIFA World Cup that will be in Brazil has unveiled preliminary squad consisting of 26 players.

In the 26 man squad is Jeffrey Schlupp who plays for Leicester City and Albert Adomah who is Middleborough’s superstar. Schlupp who was born in Germany has only one cap for his country which happed back in 2011.

The good performance he has shown this season especially in the campaign to win championship is the one responsible for him securing a place into the preliminary squad.

On the other hand Adomah finished the 2013/2014 season at Middleborough as the top scorer of the club with a total of 12 goals. Akwasi Appiah who is the coach of Ghana made selection of some of the Chelsea supporters with the likes of Christian Atsu who has had the whole season at Vitesse Arnhem on loan.

This is his time to prove to Jose Mourinho that he was worth being in the first team of the Blues.

Michael Essien who is the former superstar at Stamford Bridge and currently playing for AC Milan seem to be in compensation for the time lost as he did not play the 2010 FIFA World that was held in South Africa due to a serious injury that he was nursing.

Sulley Muntari who now plays for AC Milan and Kevin Prince Boateng are the former Portsmouth superstars are also part of the 23 man squad. This is due to the good form they have been in especially this season.

The pair is also part of the team that will be playing Holland on May 31st in a friendly match. A total of three goalkeepers were selected into the list. They include Adam Kwarasey, Stephen Adams and Orlando Pirates star Fatau Dauda.
