Phil Jagielka Backs Ross Barkley On The Great Role That Awaits Him In Brazil

Ross Barkley has been supported by Phil Jagielka who is a defender and his teammate on the key role he has to play for England in the 2014 FIFA World Cup so as to finish the tournament successfully.

England under the leadership of Roy Hodgson named a very youth full 23 man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Barkley is among the four England players aged 21 and below selected into Hodgson’s squad.

This is the youngest squad ever since the 1958 world cup tournament that was held in Sweden. With only 3 caps for his country, the Everton player has received backing from Jagielka for him to make an impact that is big during the upcoming tournament.

Although with no experience of the international matches, Jagielka said that the Everton midfielder is a very good player and has alot of football playing ability. Jagielka said these during an interview.

Jagielka says that he is not very much sure of the role Ross will be playing in Brazil but he is sure that it will be that significant role. Jagielka also said that over the past one year, Ross has grown all round. He says that all this has been contributed to the matches that he play on a weekly basis.

He says that it has been the key contributor to his developing game. Aged just 20 years, Jagielka said that Ross will be available to play in very many world cups and other international matches as part of his football career. He said that as a team, they make a lot of shout outs on Ross during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Ross has 8 goals and one assist during this current season. Adam Lallana who plays for Southampton is another player who has only 3 cap for England but included in Hodgson’s squad. Liverpool alone has produced a total of 5 players into the England squad.
