When Uruguay played Northern Ireland in a friendly match in Montevideo, they defeated their opponents with a 1-0 victory. With this kind of results, the message that was being passed across to England by Northern Ireland was that without Luis Suarez, they will have little to fear.
The Northern Ireland is 78 places behind Uruguay in the FIFA ranking and hence it was expected that Uruguay will easily scale to victory. They were expected to score more goals to showcase their strength as far as the 2014 FIFA World Cup is concerned.
Uruguay won the Copa Antel trophy but after working extremely hard. Thanks to Christian Stuani who netted the winning goal in the second half after being substituted. For real, the Northern Ireland had cabbed the weight from their opponents.
With the likes of Edinson Cavani who plays for Paris Saint Germain and Diego Forlan, a goal keeper with proven skills , Uruguay could not scale higher and bring the magic Luis Suarez always do for his team.

During the second half, Abel Hernandez also tried to make a second scored but his efforts could not bear any fruit.
