Liverpool’s Defender Glen Johnson thinks Suarez will be fit and play the world cup

After Luis Suarez suffering an injury during the training session with his national team, Uruguay, he has received quick recovery wishes from his supporters, friends and fans across the world.

Glen Johnson who plays in the defender position for England is one of Suarez’s friends who are hopeful that he will be fit when the 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off on 12th June. After having a talk with the Liverpool superstar, Johnson said that Suarez will be fit to be able to play the second game when Uruguay clash England in Brazil.

According to Johnson, Suarez’s knee injury is not something to worry too much. This is because the injury Suarez suffered was not that severe. When he was being interviewed, Johnson said that Suarez thins he is okay and say that the concern for his teammate fitness is what has attracted his attention.

Johnson said that at a personal level, Suarez shouldn’t have been injured. Johnson says that Suarez is a good player whom they have good working relation with him. Johnson further said that they should direct their focus on themselves as others focus have their focus on the other teams of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

On the matters of England, Johnson do believe Raheem Sterling will be a great weapon in the summer tournament. He is also in the support of Jordan Henderson and Steven Gerrard who are all his club teammates to start in the midfield position.

Johnson said that when he sees his club teammates in the England squad, he is very happy. He says that the likes of Jordan and Raheem been great players.

He said that the cooperation they have when playing is always the best and hence this is the opportunity to showcase to the world the best of the football skills.

Johnson adds that Raheem is capable of play either on the left or right side. He adds that although not very many superstars have played with Raheem, he is a center of focus and will pull a surprise at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
