Fraser Forster, the goalkeeper at Celtic said revealed that he is desperate to participate in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in the upcoming summer. Under the leadership of Roy Hodgson, Forster has been featured in England national team a number of times over the past 2 years.
However Forster made a debut when 2013 was coming to an end. Ben Forster, Fraser Forster and John Ruddy are the England stars that are competing for the two goalkeeping spots.
Forster believes that the great performance he has showcased in the Champions League will win him a flight to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Forster during an interview said that playing for Celtic is no difference as playing international football. He said that Celtic has really worked to his benefits although it has not been an easy task too.
He said that it is a dream to participate in the World Cup although the decision on whether to play or not lies in the hand of Roy who is the coach of England.
He added that he only need play well and hopefully end the season by securing that valuable position in the 23 man squad. He said this is always the dream of each and every player of England hence will be an honour when granted that chance.
He added that over the past 2 years they have worked hard in order to qualify and hence hopes to play in the World cup as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Forster traces his football career in the Newcastle United youth ranks although has never played in the Premier League.
He said that it is a fantastic test to play in the Premier league. This is one of his many dreams thus looking upon to this chance. Currently, Forster is happy to be in Celtic more so this season as they broke the domestic clean sheet record.
